Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center offers delicious restaurants for any occasion. Enjoy a romantic dinner for two or a casual family meal at the historic Oxhead Tavern, a delightful breakfast or weekend breakfast buffet at The Greenhouse Restaurant, or tasty appetizers and beverages at the VIP Lounge. No matter what you're craving, our variety of restaurants will whet your appetite.

The Oxhead Tavern. Today, this historic building is a casual family restaurant and bar that serves everything from traditional Massachusetts scrod to thick steaks. The Oxhead Tavern serves lunch and dinner. Seasonal lakeside  dining is available in our screen porch or on our outdoor deck with a spectacular view of Cedar Lake.  Weekend entertainment is available June-September. 

History. Built in 1820, The Oxhead Tavern is a historic landmark that served many needs in New England's history. The building, originally located in Brimfield, was constructed as a meeting house for the town's Congregational Church. The building was hauled to Fiskdale in 1834 where is served as an Irish Catholic church. In 1860, the building was converted into a shoe factory before becoming a tavern in 1940. It wasn't until 1973 that The Oxhead Tavern opened its doors on the shore of Cedar Lake.

VIP's Lounge offers three televisions for watching sports, and the weekends pack a punch with live entertainment. VIP's Lounge is open in the evenings Monday - Friday, and from noon on weekends.
